You might think the spray is just the big version of the roll-on. Nope. They're two ways of wearing a perfume, with two different intentions.

Oil or alcohol: what really changes

The real difference is hidden in the base, the liquid that carries the perfume.

In a Versatile roll-on, the base is a plant oil: sweet almond and wheat germ. Not a drop of alcohol. Oil evaporates slowly and clings to the skin. The perfume stays close to your body, softly, for a long time. It rounds out, it melts in. A bubble all your own.

In a Versatile spray, the base is organic wheat alcohol. Alcohol evaporates quickly and carries the molecules into the air. The result: a brighter, airier perfume that gets noticed. The kind that makes the next table over ask, “What are you wearing?”

Neither one is a cut-price version of the other. The roll-on is all about closeness. The spray is all about presence.

Roll-on vs. spray: the showdown

When should you choose the roll-on?

• You like subtle perfumes: getting noticed by the right people, not by the whole room.
• Your skin tends to feel tight or you avoid perfumes that sting: since it's alcohol-free, the roll-on won't dry out your skin.

Does the roll-on wear off faster than the spray?

No. It just lasts differently. The roll-on stays closer to the skin, but it lasts all day because the oil slows down evaporation. The spray smells stronger and carries further, especially in the first few hours.

Does it smell the same in roll-on and spray?

It's the same recipe, but not the same result. Oil rounds things out and softens them, while alcohol makes the opening brighter and fizzier. In fact, lots of our customers love switching between the two depending on the moment.

Can I take a roll-on on a plane?
